Everything is going haywire today and you start to feel overwhelmed. Your bank is having issues and you have an important bill to pay in two days. Your son is hanging out with friends that are questionable and your daughter hasn’t spoken to you in a couple of years. That special delivery that you’ve been waiting for has not shown up and your car is due for maintenance at the nearby car shop. The last time you saw a doctor for your chronic illness was six months ago, you’re feeling off, but you can’t go see him, well, remember the bank issue? Problem after problem, wave after wave. It’s enough to drive anyone to escape their reality.

But God, you are my God. I trust in the plans you have for me. You see a wonderful future that I can’t imagine but I know it will be good. At night as I lay in my bed, thinking about all that is going on, I stop and remember that you don’t want me to worry but you save me the headache and take my worries away. When I feel alone and insignificant, I remember that you love me and that you comfort me to make it through that day. Your Word says not to worry about the future, you have it all figured out.
