The greatest mood changer and healing instrument known to man (or woman) has to be music. Whether you enjoy the melodious sounds of classical music, the eccentricities of Avant-garde and experimental music, the tales in folk music, or the danceability of popular music, music has a way of uniting people from all corners of the world. It is the universal language of friendship.

It never surprises me how music can transport me to times past. Writing this story, I am listening to Jordan Knight’s Close My Eyes, and I cannot help to think about him. Maybe later. Right now, I want to focus on music that helped me during one of the worst times in my life.

Carry Me, Josh Wilson

Selected lyrics from Carry Me:

I try to catch my breath
It hasn’t happened yet
I’m wide awake in the middle of the night scared to death
So I prayed God, would You make this stop
Father please hold on to me, You’re all I’ve got
