What it Means to Be a Mommy…to Me

My kids are my life. Right now, Silvia, my eldest, is in a half-day pre-Kindergarten program at the local elementary school, and the boys, all 4 of them (twins Gabriel & Manuel, Jr., and David) are in their rooms napping.

Or not. I can hear Gabriel playing quietly in his bed while Jr. is asleep in his. I do not doubt that Manuel is asleep in my bed while David is asleep in the crib. Why is Manuel in my bed? I learned a while back that if I let the twins “take a nap” in the same room, they won’t and will eventually wake up Jr. who is sleeping. So, I separate them at nap time.

Ok, so you may have wondered, how old are your kids? Silvia just turned 5 in December, the twins are 3, Jr. will be 2 next month, and David is 7 months old. Yes, we have our hands full, but I would not have it any other way.

Silvestre, my loving husband, and I just celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary this last September. It took us 5 years for the Lord to work on my heart so that I would be willing to leave a career and stay home with my future kids.
